I walked in and ordered a brisket plate, expecting something nice. What came out from the back was honestly exquisite. I’ve ordered delivery from Santa Maria before, but eating the food on-site was a totally different experience. Their brisket seems meant to be consumed on-premises, with aluminum foil locking in aromas and juices just long enough for it to reach you. The blackened crust combined with just the right amount of fatty chew to deliver an incredible sensory experience. My plate came with a side of sauce, which was enjoyable, but I applied it in small doses, since the meat lacked for nothing as-is. I added beans and cornbread, the second of which was almost a dessert in itself. They were out of banana pudding, which is just as well. At some point the meal cannot be improved, and we’re just chasing phantoms. I came close to that point at Santa Maria, courtesy of all of the above-mentioned plus a single draft pilsner. My only difficulty on a return visit will be tearing myself away from the brisket to give the rest of the menu a shot.

Very friendly, kind, caring, and professional. Paul was very kind, welcoming, and just great. He was nice to let us do the Family meal though we needed to have placed that order 24hrs in advance. It was our first time eating there. He gave my daughter a sample of their collard greens and she was like wow! A+++ especially for Huntington Beach area we have not found this type of food this good. The tri tip and brisket tender juicy flavorful. The mac and cheese yummy, the potato salad oh yea the beans and coleslaw just mouth watering. The egg rolls oh boy, awesome. The jalapeño cornbread dang good. It wasn’t over seasoned which made it nice cuz sometimes that type of food can be too salty but not at Santa Maria BBQ. Overall it was fantastic. We use to live in the LA area where its a cultural melting pot of all types of foods that are prepared differently. There are a lot of great eating places in the OC but this style is very hard to fine. I will be eating there again real soon. Thank you for making me and my families experience so dang great!! Hmmmm sabor!!!
